Clippers guard Randy Foye missed Sunday's game against the Mavericks with a strained right hamstring.

Foye hurt his hamstring during a non-contact drill at Saturday's practice and is officially listed as day to day.

Los Angeles coach Vinny Del Negro predicted that Foye will likely "be out a week or two."

The Clippers waived forward Marqus Blakely on Monday.

In two preseason games, Blakely tallied 4.0 points and 9.0 minutes per game.

The Clippers roster now stands at 14 players.

The Cavaliers offered the Clippers guard Mo Williams and forward Jamario Moon in exchange for guard Baron Davis earlier this offseason, according to a league source.

Cleveland, at the time, was desperate to please LeBron James, who eventually left for Miami as a free agent.

James was believed to be down on Williams and is known to like Davis.

The Clippers say that forward Blake Griffin's ankle injury isn't serious.

Griffin tweaked his left ankle, but Los Angeles coach Vinny Del Negro expects him to play on Tuesday night. He sat out Sunday's exhibition game as a precaution.

"To be honest with you, I was kind of thinking about giving him the night off anyway," said Del Negro. "It made my decision much easier. He kind of turned his ankle a little bit yesterday [against the Jazz] in the game. He's fine.

"He did it at the beginning of the game and he played the whole game. He's actually a lot better right now. If it was regular season, he'd play. Just want to be smart and use the time to fix it."

Griffin, the first overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, missed the entire season after suffering a knee injury in the preseason.

The Clippers will consider adding another big man to add depth to a group that includes Chris Kaman, DeAndre Jordan and Jarron Collins.

"We have interest in anyone that can help our team and explore avenues to improve our team and explore avenues to improve our roster on a daily basis," said Neil Olshey, vice president of basketball operations.

"We have no interest in players that make us look better getting off the bus because they happen to be 6-10," he said.

Clippers point guard Baron Davis could make his preseason debut on Tuesday against the Spurs in Mexico City.

Davis sat out the first two weeks of training camp because of a strained calf and a sore left knee.

"Today was my first practice and I'm a little rusty," Davis said Sunday.

"I'm not worried about it, though. I just have to keep working hard and just keep fighting, getting stronger and build my strength back in my leg so I can have the explosiveness that I need."

The Los Angeles Clippers waived Stephen Dennis, Jon Scheyer and Jake Voskuhl on Saturday.

The Clippers training camp roster now stands at 15.

The Nuggets have increased their efforts for trade scenarios involving Carmelo Anthony with teams beyond the Nets.

They have explored the possibility of traded centered on Chris Kaman, Luol Deng, Devin Harris and Gerald Wallace.

Denver is hoping to remain a playoff team while trading Anthony.
