T-Wolves Re-Sign Ryan Gomes

The Timberwolves re-signed restricted free-agent forward Ryan Gomes on Tuesday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Star Tribune reported last Friday that Gomes received a multi-year deal.

The Minnesota Timberwolves reached terms on a new contract with restricted free agent Ryan Gomes.

Gomes' agent Bob Myers told ESPN.com that the sides have agreed in principal on a "multi-year deal" that is expected to be formally signed next week.

The Timberwolves reached agreement Monday on a multi-year contract with unrestricted free agent Sebastian Telfair, his agent said.

"We're very excited for the opportunity to finish what we started," agent Andy Miller said. "Sebastian wants to help get this team back to the playoffs."

Front Office Source: Love A 'Train Wreck' Physically

Kevin Love had an effective Summer League but is considered by some to be a major injury waiting to happen. An NBA front-office source with a team who worked out Love described him as a "train wreck" physically, pointing to his surgically repaired knee as the biggest point of concern.

Love Misses Summer League Game Against Knicks

Kevin Love sat out the Timberwolves' summer league game against the New York Knicks on Sunday afternoon for precautionary reasons with an inflamed left Achilles, the Associated Press is reporting.  The injury is not considered serious.

Love was recently added to the US Select team which will scrimmage against the US Olympic team.

Love was expected to practice later Sunday with the national team at a local high school.

Love, Robin Lopez Added To U.S. Basketball Select Team

Rookies Kevin Love (Minnesota) and Robin Lopez (Phoenix) were added on Saturday to the US Select team to scrimmage against America's Olympians, the Associated Press is reporting.

Both players were chosen after strong performances in the NBA summer league.

Love has averaged 20.7 points and 15 rebounds in three games for the Timberwolves, while Lopez averaged 16 points and 7.7 rebounds in his first three games for Phoenix.

Wolves Agree To Terms With Smith

The Timberwolves have agreed to terms with restricted free agent forward Craig Smith on a two-year contract, according to The Star-Tribune.

Smith is expected to join Minnesota's summer league team in Las Vegas on Thursday.

Smith averaged 9.4 points on 56.3 percent shooting and 4.6 rebounds in 77 games last season.

Kevin Love had an impressive debut for the Minnesota Timberwolves, finishing with 18 points and 13 rebounds in a 90-74 loss to the Mavericks, the Associated Press is reporting.

Love started slowly, picking up four fouls in the first quarter, before finding his feet.

"I had to get the jitters out," Love said. "I was shaking out there a little bit because it hadn't sunk in that I was a NBA player."

Wolves Sign Love In Time For Summer League

The Timberwolves signed first-round draft pick Kevin Love to a  contract on Friday, according to The Associated Press.

He signed the deal just in time to participate in the Las Vegas summer league with some of his new Minnesota teammates.

He will make about $2.6 million this season and $2.8 million next year. The Timberwolves have options for his third and fourth seasons.
