Anthony Edwards and R.J. Hampton have been named the NBA's Rookies of the Month for May.

Edwards averaged 27.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists for the month.

Hampton averaged 16.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists.

The Orlando Magic have signed forward Ignas Brazdeikis for the remainder of the season.

Brazdeikis was originally signed to a 10-day contract by Orlando on May 2. He has played in five games with the Magic, averaging 10.0 ppg., 4.6 rpg. and 1.8 apg. in 28.3 minpg. Brazdeikis has appeared in 10 total games this season with New York, Philadelphia and Orlando, averaging 5.2 ppg., 2.7 rpg. and 1.0 apg. in 15.7 minpg. He played in four games with the Knicks, before being traded to Philadelphia as part of a three-team deal on Mar. 25. Brazdeikis appeared in one game with the Sixers, before being waived on Apr. 8.

Originally selected in the second round (47th overall) of the 2019 NBA Draft by Sacramento, Brazdeikis has played in 19 career NBA regular season games with New York, Philadelphia and Orlando, averaging 3.6 ppg. and 1.7 rpg. in 11.1 minpg.

The Orlando Magic are planning to sign Donta Hall for the rest of the season, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Hall is averaging 3.1 points and 4.4 rebounds in eight games this season. 

The Orlando Magic will sign Admiral Schofield to a 10-day contract.

Orlando created the roster spot due to an injury hardship exception. 

Schofield played for the Washington Wizards last season and subsequently has played in the G League. 

The Orlando Magic have signed free agent guard Sindarius Thornwell to a two-way contract.

In addition, guard Devin Cannady has been waived.

Thornwell played in 14 games (one start) this season with New Orleans, averaging 1.2 ppg. in 5.2 minpg. He was originally signed by the Pelicans on July 6, 2020, was waived on Feb. 22, then signed two 10-day contracts, the first on Feb. 24.

Originally selected in the second round (48th overall) of the 2017 NBA Draft by Milwaukee, Thornwell has played in 153 career NBA regular season games (19 starts) with the L.A. Clippers and New Orleans, averaging 2.5 ppg. and 1.3 rpg. in 10.3 minpg.

Steve Clifford has been cleared from health and safety protocols and will return to the Orlando Magic bench on Wednesday.

Clifford tested positive for COVID-19 on April 24 and has missed the Magic's last six games.

Clifford, who received both doses of the Moderna vaccine, said he was asymptomatic.  

The Orlando Magic have signed Ignas Brazdeikis to a 10-day deal.

Brazdeikis played five games for the Knicks and Sixers this season.
