Larry Nance Jr. re-aggravated his right rib fracture and is expected to miss approximately 4-6 weeks.  

Nance has appeared in 14 games this season with the New Orleans Pelicans, averaging 3.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in 15.1 minutes.

Trey Murphy III could make his season debut as soon as Friday.

Murphy suffered a meniscus tear in early September.

Last season, Murphy averaged 14.5 points on 40% 3-point shooting and shooting 90% from the free throw line. 

CJ McCollum made his return to the New Orleans Pelicans lineup after missing the previous three weeks with a collapsed lung.

McCollum finished with 20 points 5 assists in his return.

McCollum is averaging 21.7 points and 5.7 assists on the season.

The Los Angeles Lakers received the No. 1 seed in the knockout round of the In-Season Tournament in the Western Conference and will play the Phoenix Suns. The Sacramento Kings will play the New Orleans Pelicans in the other matchup.

The Bucks-Knicks and Pacers-Celtics will square off in the Eastern Conference rounds.

CJ McCollum could return from his collapsed lung as early as Wednesday.

McCollum will participate in shootaround ahead of the game between the New Orleans Pelicans and Philadelphia 76ers.

McCollum has been out since November 4th.

The Pelicans play the Sixers on Wednesday and the Spurs on Friday.

The Pelicans have won 5 out of their last 7 games.  

Matt Ryan sustained a mild right calf strain during Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Ryan is expected to be sidelined for approximately 10-14 days.

Ryan has appeared in 13 games for the New Orleans Pelicans this season, averaging 9.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 22.9 minutes.

The New Orleans Pelicans are off to a disappointing 4-6 start, with five consecutive losses. Despite injuries again plaguing the roster, Zion Williamson has stayed healthy. But that hasn't been enough to lift New Orleans, and Williamson's frustrations are starting to show.

"Last year, we had a team meeting and we brought up some things I can do better, especially with buying into the program. Right now, it's tough. I'm taking a little bit of a backseat right now. I'm trusting the process. I'm trying my best to buy in right now," Williamson said following Sunday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Through eight games, Williamson is averaging a career-low 21.6 points per game. He's also shooting 51.5% from the field, which is well below his career-mark of 60.5% entering this season.

E.J. Liddell has been assigned by the New Orleans Pelicans to the Birmingham Squadron.

Liddell, 6-6, 242, who was selected by New Orleans with the 41st overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of The Ohio State University, missed the entire 2022-23 campaign due to a torn ACL in his right knee. Liddell has appeared in three games for the Pelicans this season and is averaging 1.3 points and 0.7 rebounds in 2.9 minutes per game.
