The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to acquire Derrick Favors from the Utah Jazz.

The Utah Jazz were widely expected to part ways with Favors this offseason.

J.J. Redick has agreed to a two-year, $26.5 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The New Orleans Pelicans are finalizing a two-year deal with Nicolo Melli.

Melli is a 28-year-old big who has played for Fenerbache since 2017.

The New Orleans Pelicans will decline to extend qualifying offers to Stanley Johnson and Cheick Diallo.

The move opens up more than $28 million in cap space. 

Johnson is expected to receive interest from several teams, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Los Angeles Clippers could express interest in Tobias Harris if they are unable to agree to terms with Kawhi Leonard, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans are also expected to pursue Harris.

The Philadelphia 76ers are also making re-signing Harris a priority.

Harris is expected to command a max contract.

The New York Knicks and Julius Randle have mutual interest, sources tell Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Randle spent the past season with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Randle averaged 21.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

The New Orleans Pelicans and New York Knicks will meet on the first day of the Las Vegas summer league, matching up former Duke teammates Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett. 

All 30 NBA teams will feature in the showcase, along with the Chinese and Croatian national teams. 

Summer league begins on July 5th.
