Timberwolves, P.J. Dozier Agree To Contract

Sep 17, 2022 6:25 PM

The Minnesota Timberwolves and P.J. Dozier have agreed to a contract. Dozier is returning from a torn ACL suffered in December of 2021.

The veteran guard had claimed a rotation spot with the Denver Nuggets before he tore his ACL last season. This move reunites Dozier with former Nuggets President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly, who now holds the same role with the Wolves.

For his career, Dozier has averaged 6.4 points in 105 NBA games. Dozier has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics, in addition to the Nuggets.

League Reviewing Anthony Edwards' Instagram Comments

Sep 12, 2022 11:21 PM

Anthony Edwards tweeted an apology for making anti-gay comments during an Instagram video posted over the weekend.

"What I said was immature, hurtful, and disrespectful, and I’m incredibly sorry," wrote Edwards in his tweet. "It’s unacceptable for me or anyone to use that language in such a hurtful way, there’s no excuse for it, at all. I was raised better than that!"

Wolves president Tim Connelly expressed his disappointment in a statement.

"We are disappointed in the language and actions Anthony Edwards displayed on social media. The Timberwolves are committed to being an inclusive and welcoming organization for all and apologize for the offense this has caused to so many," said Connelly.

The league announced that it is also reviewing the incident.
