Jennings Scores Two In Winning Return

Jan 30, 2011 9:20 AM

Brandon Jennings scored just two points in his return from a 19-game absence on Saturday night as Milwaukee defeated New Jersey 91-81.

Jennings missed all three shots he took, but made a pair of free throws and had one assist in 11 minutes off the bench.

"It felt good just to be back out there with the guys," Jennings said. "I was all right. I knew I wasn't going to play as much, when I did I was just trying to get back in the flow, trying to get my rhythm back. I'm just trying to get better and better in each game."

He had been out since mid-December with a broken foot.

Redd Eyes March Return To Bucks

Jan 26, 2011 5:20 PM

Michael Redd hasn't played since Jan. 10, 2010 and has become a forgotten man in the NBA.

Redd first tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee in January 2009 against Sacramento. He returned for Milwaukee's opener last season but played just 18 games before suffering the same injury against the Lakers.

"This time I wanted to extend my rehab to a year," Redd said. "To do it right."

"The Bucks have been terrific about everything," he added.

Redd says his goal is to return to the court shortly after the All-Star break, with the first week of March likely.

The fifth-highest paid player in the league, Redd will be a free-agent this summer.

"I'm hoping to get 20 or 25 games in this year," Redd said. "Then I'll figure everything out."

Jennings Isn't Cleared To Return To Practice

Jan 26, 2011 7:06 AM

Brandon Jennings is progressing, but isn't quite ready to make his return from a broken left foot.

Jennings had a meeting with team doctors on Tuesday, but wasn't cleared for a return to practice and full contact.

"I just got some X-rays again, and everything looks fine," Jennings said. "But they're going to hold me back awhile.

"It's discouraging, of course. Six weeks would be next week (Monday). They just want to make sure everything is all right."

He underwent surgery on Dec. 20 to repair a fractured bone in his left foot and the original timetable for his return was four-to-six weeks.

Jennings Hopes To Put Stamp On League Upon Return

Jan 24, 2011 5:21 PM

Brandon Jennings has missed the last month with a broken left foot and the Bucks have struggled to build upon their success last season.

"You know I'm real big on Twitter and a lot of people are taking me off their fantasy teams," Jennings said. "A lot of people are saying they don’t want to watch the Bucks anymore and things like that. Of course, they're probably not true fans.

"I do kind of feel like I've been forgotten so I have to come back and make my stamp again."

Milwaukee opened the season 11-16 and lost Jennings when he broke his foot on Dec. 18.

They are 5-9 since the guard's injury.

"Right now I've been taking a lot of beatings because our team hasn't done what we did last year," Jennings said. "The hardest thing is having one good year and not coming back and doing it again. Yes, there is a lot of pressure on me, but I'm up for it."

Jennings played in every game last season and this injury is the first major one of his basketball career.

Mavericks Continue To Assess Trade Options

Jan 17, 2011 7:52 AM

Amid a 2-8 slide that coincided with injuries to Dirk Nowitzki and Caron Butler, the Mavericks have continued to assess trade options through discussions with numerous teams.

Dallas, however, would prefer to see how the team looks with a healthy Nowitzki, who returned over the weekend, before they decide if they need to make a deal to replace Butler, who is out for the season.

Marc Stein of ESPN.com lists, Stephen Jackson, Tayshaun Prince, J.R. Smith, Corey Maggette and Devin Harris as possible options for the Mavericks.

Harris would only be a possibility if he lands in Denver as part of the three-team trade that would send Carmelo Anthony to New Jersey.
