The Los Angeles Clippers were the favorite team of Paul George when he was growing up in the area.

The Clippers could have selected George in the 2010 NBA Draft, but instead selected Al-Farouq Aminu.

“I’m happy where I’m at being here but (the Clippers) were one of the teams that did overlook me,” George said. “So I always have that in the back of my mind when I play them.”

Chris Paul suffered a strained right hamstring in the third quarter of the Los Angeles Clippers' win over the New York Knicks on wednesday.

Paul went into the locker room and didn't return to the game.

"I told Doc (Rivers), 'If you need me, I can go,'" Paul said. "It's a little tight, but I'll be all right. I'll be ready Friday." 

"I know my body well enough now to where if I feel something , I look over at our trainer and I was like, 'Get me out for a second. Let me see what's going on,'" Paul said.

The Los Angeles Clippers have remained in discussions with Lamar Odom and the veteran forward plans to visit the team's practice facility sometime this week.

“I’m going to keep talking to him,” Doc Rivers said on Tuesday. “I don’t know what our plans are yet. I like Lamar. I want him to be in the NBA. And if things go right, here.

“Having said that, I just want him to do well at the end. Obviously if he does well, we’d like for it to be for us. But let’s say he doesn’t come here, and he does well in the NBA, I’d be just as happy, honestly. I look at a guy, and I think he’s a good guy, and he needs another shot.”

Odom still wants to play with the Clippers and has returned to Los Angeles following his training in Rhode Island.

If the Clippers do sign Odom, he’ll get a one-year deal for about $883,000.

Blake Griffin had his right elbow drained after the Los Angeles Clippers' blowout victory over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday afternoon.

Griffin has had chronic issues with a burst bursa sac.

Griffin scored 15 points with 12 rebounds on Sunday and is averaging over 22 points and 10 rebounds this season.

The Los Angeles Clippers are expected to sign Lamar Odom at some point this season, but they are considering Chris Wilcox as a fallback option, according to sources.

Wilcox played under Doc Rivers with the Boston Celtics.

Wilcox is a free agent.

The Clippers remain likely to sign Odom as he works himself back into playing shape.

Los Angeles Clippers forward Matt Barnes suffered a retinal tear in his left eye on Nov. 18 against the Memphis Grizzlies and will undergo a surgical procedure to repair the retina.

Barnes is expected to miss a minimum of two weeks.

Barnes has appeared in eight games this season and is averaging 5.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 20.0 minutes per game.

The Los Angeles Clippers gave Reggie Bullock 12 minutes in Wednesday's game agains the Minnesota Timberwolves with Matt Barnes unavailable due to a bruised eye.

Bullock scored six points, hitting both of his three-point attempts.

"I was just confident coming here knowing that Matt was out that this was my opportunity to get some minutes and just try to produce at that position," Bullock said.

Bullock was the Clippers' first round pick this season and has played sparingly.

Matt Barnes didn't accompany the Los Angeles Clippers on their road trip as he deals with a bruised left eye.

Barnes has some swelling inside his retina, and that he is going to get some tests run soon. 

Barnes was injured on Monday when he received an accidental elbow fro Zach Randolph.

Barnes has also missed three games this season with a bruised right thigh.

Tony Allen has been suspended one game by the NBA for kicking Chris Paul in the head on Monday, the league announced on Tuesday.

Allen kicked Paul in the face, with his shin, in a jump in the air as he attempted to make a defensive play. The incident occurred in the Memphis Grizzlies' win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

LeBron James and Blake Griffin have been named the NBA Players of the Week.

James averaged a league-best 34.0 points in leading the Heat to a 3-0 week. He led Miami in scoring in all three games and shot .702 from the field (fifth in the league), .625 from three-point range, and .810 from the foul line. On Nov. 15, James tallied 39 points on 14-of-18 shooting and added six rebounds and four assists as the Heat topped the Dallas Mavericks 110-104.

Griffin helped the Clippers to a 3-0 week behind averages of 25.7 points (tied for third in the Western Conference), 11.3 rebounds (ninth in the conference), 4.7 assists and 1.0 steals. He posted a point-rebound double-double in all three games. On Nov. 13, Griffin scored 22 points and added 12 rebounds, seven assists and three steals as the Clippers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-103.
