The New York Knicks have filed a lawsuit against the Toronto Raptors alleging that a former employee "illegally took thousands of proprietary files with him to his new position."

The suit alleges that the Raptors directed Ikechukwu Azotam to "misuse his access to the Knicks' subscription to Synergy Sports to create and then transfer to the Raptors Defendants over 3,000 files consisting of film information and data."

The Knicks contacted the Raptors and the NBA before filing the suit.

The Toronto Raptors were offered multiple picks at the 2023 trade deadline for OG Anunoby, but they elected to retain him.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that "the upside of many of the first round picks offered is believed to have been low."

The Memphis Grizzlies and Indiana Pacers were two of the teams who aggressively pursued Anunoby at the deadline with each offering three first round picks.

Anunoby can become a free agent in 2024 if he declines his $19.9 million player option. 

The Toronto Raptors and Pascal Siakam have had no substantive discussions on a contract extension, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic. The Raptors can currently offer Siakam up to a four-year, $192 million extension.

Sources also tell Charania that Siakam has never requested a trade.

The Atlanta Hawks have been the strongest trade suitor for Siakam. Siakam's trade market has been somewhat soft due to his position that he has no plans to extend with any team that trades for him.

The Hawks offered a package built around De'Andre Hunter, AJ Griffin and draft picks to the Raptors for Siakam. Talks between the two teams are fully paused. 

Vancouver and Montreal will host preseason games ahead of this upcoming season as part of the NBA Canada Series.

The Raptors will face the Kings in Vancouver on October 8.

The Thunder will then play the Pistons in Montreal on October 12.

22 Canadians were on NBA rosters last season, making it the most-represented country outside of the United States.

The Toronto Raptors have signed forwards Mouhamadou Gueye and Kevin Obanor. Both players were signed to non-guaranteed camp deals.

Gueye attended training camp with the Dallas Mavericks in 2022, before being waived ahead of the season. The 6-foot-9 forward played in 29 G League games with the Texas Legends last season. Gueye averaged 8.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

Obanor went undrafted at the 2023 Draft out of Texas Tech. The 6-foot-8 forward also played for Oral Roberts during his six-year collegiate career. As a second-year senior with the Red Raiders, Obanor averaged 14.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
