Dennis Schroder has agreed to a two-year, $26 million deal with the Toronto Raptors.

Toronto is using their non-Taxpayer Midlevel Exception to sign Schroder, who spent last season with the Los Angeles Lakers. 

The Raptors had trade interest in Schroder when they were shopping Kyle Lowry in 2021.

Fred VanVleet has agreed to sign with the Houston Rockets on a three-year, $130 million deal.

VanVleet departs the Toronto Raptors after winning a championship and making an All-Star team.

The Raptors were reportedly aggressive in trying to keep VanVleet.

VanVleet is represented by Rich Paul and Erika Ruiz of Klutch Sports. 

Jakob Poeltl and the Toronto Raptors have agreed to a four-year, $80 million deal.

The Raptors traded for Poeltl from the San Antonio Spurs at the deadline. 

The Toronto Raptors and Joe Wieskamp mutually agreed to push back his contract's guarantee deadline. Wieskamp's $1.9 million deal was set to become fully guaranteed on June 30. That guarantee date has now been pushed back to July 18.

Wieskamp appeared in nine games for the Raptors last season, after signing with the team in early-January. He also played in 10 games for Raptors 905 of the G League last season.

OG Anunoby has chosen CAA as he new representation.

Anunoby previously parted ways with Klutch Sports. Anunoby's original agent was Omar Wilkes, who left Klutch this year for a role with Fanatics.

Anunoby is expected to become a free agent in 2024. 

The Golden State Warriors reached out to the Toronto Raptors on a trade centered on Jordan Poole for OG Anunoby, according to Tim Kawakami of The Athletic. 

The Warriors and Raptors discussed a trade at the deadline centered on Anunoby with Toronto seeking the inclusion of Jonathan Kuminga.

Anunoby has been one of the most widely coveted players on the trade market throughout the past year, while the Warriors ended up attaching a future first round pick to trade Poole to the Washington Wizards for Chris Paul.

With James Harden widely expected to re-sign with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Houston Rockets appear to be pivoting to Fred VanVleet.

Marc Stein of Substack reports that the Rockets are preparing a two-year deal for VanVleet at his max of $83.6 million.

The Toronto Raptors continue to also have interest in re-signing VanVleet. VanVleet re-signed with the Raptors in 2020 on a four-year, $85 million deal.

The Toronto Raptors acquire Jakob Poeltl at the trade deadline from the San Antonio Spurs and are positioned to re-sign him in free agency.

Marc Stein of Substack reports there is "a strong belief that Jakob Poeltl is poised to re-sign with Toronto in the $20 million range annually."

The Raptors drafted Poeltl 9th overall in the 2016 draft out of Utah and traded him to the Spurs in 2018 as part of the Kawhi Leonard deal. The Raptors traded their 2024 first round pick, a 2023 second round pick and a 2025 second round pick to reacquire Poeltl. 

Poeltl rejected overtures of an extension from the Spurs early in the 22-23 season as they could only offer a deal that averaged approximately $14 million per season.

The Raptors also expect Fred VanVleet to command a deal worth around $30 million per season.

VanVleet declined his $22.8 million player option earlier this offseason. 

The Rockets are likely to make a run at VanVleet should they fail to sign James Harden.
