Mike Muscala has agreed to sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Muscala spent parts of last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers.

Nerlens Noel has backed out of a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Noel asked for more time to reevaluate his earlier commitment.

Both sides are continuing their discussions.

Noel signed a two-year deal with the Thunder last offseason that he opted out of for free agency.

Nerlens Noel will not pick up his $1.9 million player option for the 19-20 season with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Noel and the Thunder have interest in a new deal, but he will also speak to other teams.

Lu Dort has agreed to a Two-Way deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Dort went undrafted out of Arizona State.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to shed salary in an effort to get under the luxury tax, league sources told Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated.

Fischer adds that the Thunder are looking to move the 21st pick of the 2019 NBA Draft, along with Steven Adams, Andre Roberson, or Dennis Schroeder's contracts.

The luxury tax threshold for the 2019-20 season is set at $132 million. 

The Toronto Raptors had preliminary talks with the Indiana Pacers in 2017 on a trade for Paul George.

The package would have looked similar to the one they sent the San Antonio Spurs for Kawhi Leonard in which DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected first round pick were traded. 

The Pacers eventually traded George to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis. 

The Raptors had to contend with the free agencies of Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka that offseason as well.

Paul George underwent a procedure to repair a small labrum tear in his left shoulder.

George previously had surgery in May to repair a partially torn tendon in his right shoulder.

George's status will re-evaluated before the start of this season. 

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in each of the past three seasons, but they have held conversations with multiple teams about trading the No. 21 overall pick for salary cap and luxury tax relief.

The Thunder were able to trade the final season of Carmelo Anthony's contract to the Atlanta Hawks for Dennis Schroder last offseason to lower their salary and tax. 

Oklahoma City had approximately $200 million in combined salary and luxury tax during the 18-19 season.
