John Wall Wants Wizards To Make Roster Changes

Apr 28, 2018 10:17 PM

John Wall said it is on the front office of the Wizards to make changes this offseason.

Wall had some strong comments about the team's chemistry and wanting players who want to be on the team.

"It's a lot," Wall told reporters when asked what the Wizards need to address on the roster. "I feel like it's a lot we can use. I don't really have to say [which] certain positions. People who have been around our team understand what we can use to help our team. And it is not throwing shade to anybody on our team because everybody that is on the roster gave everything they had to make it work and fit with the team.

"But at the same time, sometimes when it is not working, you try, you try, you try, and it keeps failing over and over, you have to make certain adjustments and changes."

Wall and Marcin Gortat have frequently been at odds.

Otto Porter Out Indefinitely After Procedure On Left Leg

Apr 27, 2018 3:47 PM

Otto Porter Jr. will miss the remainder of the Wizards' first round series against the Raptors after undergoing a procedure on his left leg.

Porter underwent a minor surgery to relieve a buildup of blood around the contusion on his left leg.

Porter will be out indefinitely.

Porter had an MRI and the results raised concerns of restricted blood flow in his injured area. The decision was made for Porter to have the procedure in order to relieve pressure as well as to avoid a major injury.

John Wall: Drake Said He Had The Broom For Us

Apr 24, 2018 9:33 AM

The Washington Wizards return to Toronto on Wednesday with the series tied 2-2 after going down 2-0.

"Yeah, you know I am. For sure," Wall said when asked if he is looking forward to seeing Drake now that the Wizards have evened the series as it shifts back to Toronto. "I told him to be here for Game 3. He told me he was going to be here. He didn't show up. He told me we were getting swept. He said he had the broom for us."

Drake is a global ambassador for the Raptors and often sits courtside.

"My reaction is, we did what we were supposed to do; we came home and won two games," Wall said of his response to Drake's sweep comment. "My arguments with him ain't really about the game of basketball -- we just be out there having fun. But at the same time, we [have] a focus that we are trying to go in there and win Game 5. I want him to know that they weren't going to sweep us."

Jodie Meeks Suspended 25 Games By NBA

Apr 13, 2018 1:14 PM

Jodie Meeks has been suspended 25 games by the NFL for violating the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program.

Meeks tested positive for banned compounds Ipamorelin and Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2.

Meeks' season with the Wizards is now over.

When reached Friday by ESPN, Meeks' lawyer Ben Levine of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani said: "It is regrettable that the NBA has prematurely taken action against Jodie today. Accordingly, we will appeal the suspension and vigorously defend Jodie's rights. Unfortunately, under the CBA, a player is guilty until proven innocent and while Jodie's appeal is pending he will be forced to sit out the playoffs."
