The Washington Wizards are a "stealth candidate" for Kevin Love, whose future with the Minnesota Timberwolves has been put in question recently.
Love's father, Stan, played for the then-Bullets in the 1970s and gave his son the middle name "Wesley" after Wes Unseld.
Love has a soft spot for the Wizards.
Any potential deal, however, could ultimately die if the Timberwolves ask for Bradley Beal.
John Wall suffered a scratch in his right eye in Washington Wizards' Game 3 loss to the Indiana Pacers and Saturday wore contact lens with solution to help the eye.
Wall said he "could barely see" in the third quarter of the Wizards' blowout loss on Friday.
"[Wall] said a few times it was bothering him and that he couldn’t really see," Bradley Beal said.
Randy Wittman said he believed Wall will be fine for Game 4 on Sunday.
Trevor Ariza was asked whether he wanted to return to the Washington Wizards as a free agent in the offseason.
“I don’t know. It would be nice to come back here, but again, who knows what’s going to happen,” said Ariza, denying a rumor that he desires a return to the Western Conference to be closer to family. “That’s not . . . I don’t have to. Wherever I’m wanted. Whoever wants me on their team, I guess.”
Ariza was nearly dealt to the Los Angeles Clippers for Caron Butler in 2013, but Donald Sterling nixed the deal because he did not want to disrupt chemistry.
