Warner Bros. Discovery said Friday night that it is abandoning its regional sports network business. 

AT&T SportsNet has deals with the Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz in the NBA.

The SportsNet announcement comes on the heels of news that Diamond Sports Group is also prepping to file for bankruptcy this spring. DSG owns and operates the Bally Sports regional networks and has the local television rights for over 40 MLB, NBA and NHL teams. 

While WBD is attempting to exit from the RSN business, they are also negotiating with the NBA on extending its national television deals.

Kris Dunn has agreed to a 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz.

Dunn has played for the Capital City Go-Go in the G League this season.

Dunn appeared in 14 games last season with the Portland Trail Blazers, averaging 7.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 24.0 minutes. 

Dunn is represented by Bernie Lee. 

Frank Jackson has agreed to a 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz.

Jackson is averaging 22 points per game in the G League this season.

Jackson appeared in 53 games last season with the Detroit Pistons, averaging 10.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 22.0 minutes. 

Jackson is represented by Troy Payne and Mike Silverman.

Russell Westbrook will sign with the LA Clippers for the remainder of the season. Westbrook negotiated a buyout with the Utah Jazz, after a deadline deal from the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Clippers were looking for point guard depth, after trading both Reggie Jackson and John Wall in deadline day moves. LA added Bones Hyland at the trade deadline, but wanted another veteran option on the roster.

Westbrook averaged 15.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 28.7 minutes per game off the Lakers bench. Clippers All-Star Paul George campaigned for his team to add Westbrook on the buyout market. George and Westbrook were teammates on the Oklahoma City Thunder for two seasons from 2017 to 2019.

The Los Angeles Clippers have opened conversations with Russell Westbrook about potentially signing with the team should he get bought out by the Utah Jazz, sources told Law Murray and Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Jazz have given Westbrook permission to talk to teams around the league about having a larger role. 

Other interested teams include the Heat, Bulls, and Wizards. 

The Utah Jazz have waived Leandro Bolmaro.

Bolmaro appeared in 14 games with the Jazz, averaging 4.9 minutes. Last season, Bolmaro appeared in 35 games with the Minnesota Timberwolves. 

Russell Westbrook has had discussions with the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Clippers as possible destinations should he get bought out by the Utah Jazz, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Jazz gave Russell Westbrook permission to talk to other teams about having a larger role.

Wojnarowski adds that there is no rush for Westbrook to make a decision with the upcoming All-Star break.

Westbrook could also finish the season with the Jazz.

Paul George and Marcus Morris are pushing for the Los Angeles Clippers to sign Russell Westbrook should he agree to a buyout with the Utah Jazz.

George brought up Westbrook when he was asked if the Clippers should add a point guard with their open roster spot in the buyout market.

"I mean if there's, you know, somebody out there -- Russell," George said after the Clippers lost 119-106 to the Milwaukee Bucks at home on Friday night. "If it makes sense and obviously it goes with our team, we're all for it. You know, we need a point guard. But you know, [at] the same [time], I think we're good as well. If nothing happened, we got enough in this locker room to be able to make it work.

"But it would definitely improve our team if we had that traditional point guard to kind of get us in things and make the game easy. So hopefully Russell sees this and we figure something out."

Russell Westbrook has expressed a willingness to play for the Utah Jazz if they don't agree to a buyout.

Justin Zanik said Danny Ainge has been in contact with Westbrook's agent, Jeff Schwartz, and the sides have discussed a variety of options.

“We are open to all sorts of possibilities with him. He has been very positive on being here in Utah, and we’ve been very open to the possibilities of him,” Zanik said. “It’s just ongoing discussions. I think it’s important to know that he probably needs some time — this is the first time in his career he has been in a position like this. We wanted to be very transparent of where we are as an organization, and he’s been very open to different different roles in that. So we’re just kind of giving him some time and continuing to talk.

“There haven’t been any decisions made, there haven’t been any possibilities eliminated.”

If Westbrook is not bought out by the Jazz, they would retain his Bird rights and could participate in a sign-and-trade this offseason that allows him to join with an over the cap team .

This past offseason, the Brooklyn Nets had the opportunity to acquire Bam Adebayo as part of a three-way trade with the Miami Heat and Utah Jazz.

The Nets would have sent Ben Simmons to the Jazz, while the Heat would have acquired Donovan Mitchell.

Brooklyn reportedly declined to move forward with the trade. Utah went on to trade Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Simmons has not been a productive player this season and is now widely considered to be one of the NBA's worst contracts. 

Kevin Durant was frustrated by Brooklyn's trade of James Harden for Simmons, particularly after Simmons was clearly nowhere near his former All-Star form.
