Aldridge Would Prefer Trade To Bulls, Mavericks, Clippers

Jun 27, 2013 1:22 PM

LaMarcus Aldridge hopes the Portland Trail Blazers can improve their roster before the start of the 13-14 NBA season. If that does not happen, Aldridge would prefer a trade.

Sources say Aldridge would prefer a trade to the Chicago Bulls.

The Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers would be two other teams high on Aldridge's list.

"LaMarcus loves Portland," said the source. "He spent seven years there and grew as a man. Him going back is a possibility and he knows that. He's a professional, it wouldn't be an issue."

Bulls Explore Trade Of Luol Deng To Wizards For No. 3 Pick

Jun 24, 2013 3:18 PM

The Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards have held discussions on a trade of Luol Deng for the No. 3 overall pick.

The Wizards would likely need to include Emeka Okafor, who would have to formally opt into his contract for next season for the trade to go trhough.

The Cleveland Cavaliers also have interest in Deng, according to sources.

The Bulls are trying to gauge the trade value of Deng.

David Aldridge reports there is zero chance of the Bulls and Wizards putting together a package centered around Deng and Okafor.

Derrick Rose Has Confidence Back In Workouts

Jun 13, 2013 10:32 PM

Derrick Rose missed the entire 2012-13 season as he recovered from his torn ACL, but Tom Thibodeau said he is beginning to feel like himself again.

"I worked him out about a week ago," Thibodeau said on Thursday. "It was great."

The Chicago Bulls reached the second round of the NBA Playoffs without Rose.

"Watching the way he's moving now, there's a confidence," Thibodeau said. "(Reporters) may not have been able to see the total work he was putting in. But he was putting in an enormous amount of work each and every day. He just never got to the explosiveness he was comfortable with. I think he's there now. He feels great, and that's the most important thing."

Rose was medically cleared in mid-February and practiced in 5-on-5 situations while also working out pre-game.

"The kid was being totally honest," Thibodeau said. "At the end of the day, you have to respect that. He wanted to be out there very badly. But no one knew when he would be ready, including him. It was a smart decision to wait. If you're not quite sure, and you're going to err, err on the side of caution. That's what he did. And now he feels great."
