Al Horford has agreed to a four-year, $97 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. The deal also contains $12 million in bonuses tied to championships.

Horford opted out of his $30 million contract with the Boston Celtics and quickly broke off talks on a new deal. The final offer from the Celtics was for four seasons but contained less guaranteed money.

Horford joined the Celtics as a free agent in 2016.

Kemba Walker has agreed to a four-year, $141 million deal with the Boston Celtics.

Walker had been linked to the Celtics for the better part of a week.

Walker will replace Kyrie Irving.

There had been talk on Sunday that the Boston Celtics could be the "mystery team" to sign Al Horford.

The Celtics have been working on a sign-and-trade involving Terry Rozier in order to have the ability to re-sign Horford.

A source close to Horford tells Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald that he will not re-sign with the Celtics.

Terry Rozier has agreed to a three-year, $58 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets on a sign-and-trade.

The Boston Celtics will sign Kemba Walker to replace Kyrie Irving.

The Boston Celtics are expressing interest in working on a sign-and-trade involving the Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets for Kemba Walker.

The Celtics would acquire Walker while sending out Kyrie Irving to the Nets, and Terry Rozier to the Hornets.

The Celtics would like to create a full midlevel exception and would likely need to give up at least one first round pick to the Nets.

The Boston Celtics renounced the rights for Terry Rozier, league sources told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports.

The move allows the Celtics to open up a max slot, which they are expected to use to sign Kemba Walker. 

Rozier is now an unrestricted free agent.

The Charlotte Hornets did not offer Kemba Walker a standard max contract of $190 million over five seasons.

Walker was also eligible for a supermax extension.

"The fact was Charlotte's offer was significantly lower than even the normal maximum contract," said Shams Charania.

The Houston Rockets and Boston Celtics have interest in Kevon Looney.

Shams Charania reports that the Celtics will pursue bigs with their $4.8 million option, such as Looney and Enes Kanter.

Marc Stein reports the Rockets have arranged a recruitment session for Sunday with Looney. Houston similarly pursued Andre Iguodala in 2017, which drove up the price the Warriors ultimately had to pay.

The Warriors would also like to re-sign Looney.

Kyrie Irving will meet with the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday and the two sides are expected to agree to a four-year, $141 million max deal.

Irving will leave the Boston Celtics this offseason.

The Nets hope to pair Irving with Kevin Durant. Durant is expected to speak with the Nets this week.

Brooklyn is expected part ways with D'Angelo Russell and help him with a pathway to his next team.
