Los Angeles D-Fenders head coach Eric Musselman has been named the winner of the Dennis Johnson Coach of the Year award, as voted by his fellow NBA Development League head coaches. 

Musselman helmed a Los Angeles team that recorded an NBA D-League record 38 victories during the 2011-12 regular season en route to a Western Conference Championship and the first overall seed in the 2012 NBA D-League Playoffs.

The Los Angeles Lakers have recalled guard/forward Christian Eyenga from the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA Development League. 

Acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 15 along with Ramon Sessions in exchange for Luke Walton and Jason Kapono, Eyenga has yet to play for the Lakers this season. In six regular season games with the D-Fenders, Eyenga averaged 12.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 blocks and 33.0 minutes, before helping the D-Fenders reach the D-League finals.

Jamario Moon will be signed by the Charlotte Bobcats, according to a source.

Moon is currently with the D-League's Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Elijah Millsap has been named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played April 2-7. The honor is the first of Millsap’s career.

Millsap led the D-Fenders to a 3-0 record last week.

During the week, Millsap averaged 22.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists. He shot 42 percent from the field and 56 percent from three-point range. He began the week with a season-high 32 points on April 4 in a 111-98 win over the Reno Bighorns, before finishing with two double-doubles to end the regular season on April 6 and 7.

Los Angeles D-Fenders forward Jamario Moon has been named NBA Development League Player of the Month for games played in March. 

Moon (6-8, 215, Meredian Community College), led Los Angeles to an 8-1 record in March, helping the team to clinch the top spot in the Western Conference. During the month, he averaged 16.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 36.6 minutes. He was the team’s high scorer and rebounder twice last month, scoring in double figures in eight of nine games, including an NBA D-League season-high 26 points to go with 10 rebounds in a 117-89 win over the Reno Bighorns on March 28. For the month, he shot 52 percent from the floor, 37 percent from three-point range and 82 percent from the line.
