In the search for more playing time, a representative for Thon Maker asked the Milwaukee Bucks for a trade.

Maker's agent and Bucks general manager Jon Horst have discussed potential trade opportunities in recent weeks.

The Bucks still continue to believe in the 21-year-old, although Maker has averaged just 10 minutes per game since January 1st, including 4 DNPs.

After getting voted as an All-Star captain, Giannis Antetokounmpo said he wants to bring Joel Embiid and Russell Westbrook together on the same team.

"It's all about love. I'm a lover, not a fighter. I'm gonna pick Joel Embiid. If I can pick Joel Embiid and Russell Westbrook on the same team, I'll do it."

Embiid and Westbrook had a minor scuffle towards the end of the Thunder's 117-115 win over the Sixers last weekend. Westbrook said afterwards that he and Embiid were "not cool". 

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to sign Bonzie Colson to a Two-Way deal.

Colson was playing for the Canton Charge of the G League.

The Milwaukee Bucks have requested waivers on Two-Way guard Jaylen Morris.

Originally signed to a Two-Way contract on July 31, Morris appeared in four games with the Bucks this season and averaged 2.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 7.1 minutes per game. Morris also played in 13 games (all starts) with the Bucks’ G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, and averaged 14.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest.

The Bucks roster now stands at 16 players.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had an excellent all-around game against fellow MVP candidate James Harden in the Bucks' 116-109 win at Houston.

Antetokounmpo, however, dismissed the early MVP talk.

"All I care about is winning, to be honest with you," Antetokounmpo said after scoring 27 points, grabbing a career-high 21 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists for the East-leading Bucks in the win. "I know by winning -- doing whatever it takes out there, helping your teammates and just leaving it everything on the floor -- everything will take care of itself."

Harden has repeatedly and adamantly declared recently that he expects to win MVP.

"He's not normal," Mike D'Antoni said of Antetokounmpo. "I mean, that guy is 7 feet and has the [body] control, and all that he does. The guy is a great, great player, so he's in the [MVP] conversation, because they're playing so well. And he should be, but we've got a lot of basketball left.

"We're only halfway there. He and James are up there with a couple of other guys, and it'll sort itself out."

James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo have been named the NBA's Players of the Month For December.

The Rockets were 11-4 in December with Harden averaging 36.4 points, 7.9 assists, 5.9 rebounds and 1.80 steals. 

While leading the Bucks to a 10-4 record in December and to the top spot of the NBA standings, Antetokounmpo averaged 25.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 60.3 percent from the field.
