Josh Howard Narrows List To Five, Near Free Agent Decision

Josh Howard has narrowed his list of potential landing spots to Brooklyn, New York, Utah, Indiana and Golden State and is expected to soon make a decision.

An unrestricted free agent, Howard averaged 8.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 43 games for the Jazz last season.

D-League Announces Affiliations For 12-13 Season

The National Basketball Association and the NBA Development League, the official minor league of the NBA, announced the affiliation system for the 2012-13 season. An all-time high eleven NBA teams will have single NBA D-League affiliates including first-year partnerships between the Boston Celtics and Maine Red Claws and the Portland Trail Blazers and Idaho Stampede.

Shaw, Malone Withdraw From Consideration For Magic Job

Brian Shaw and Mike Malone have withdrawn their names from consideration for the head coaching job of the Orlando Magic.

Shaw has been a candidate for recent openings for the Lakers and Bobcats, amongst others.

Orlando is looking for a replacement for Stan Van Gundy.

Shaw is currently an assistant coach with the Pacers, while Malone has the same position with the Warriors.

Tornike Shengelia had 16 points, while Jeff Foote had 11 points 11 rebounds.

Lance Stephenson led the Pacers with 19 points. Miles Plumlee had nine points and six rebounds.

The Pacers have reached a one-year deal with Augustin, according to a report from Mike Wells.

Indiana traded Darren Collison on Wednesday with the belief they would acquire a point guard shortly thereafter.
