Dennis Smith Jr. Voted By Peers As Favorite To Win Rookie Of The Year

Dennis Smith Jr. was voted by his rookie peers as the most likely winner of the 17-18 NBA Rookie of the Year award.

Smith received 25.7 percent of the vote, ahead of Lonzo Ball at 20 percent and Markelle Fultz at 17.1 percent.

Kris Dunn was the player voted most likely to win the award last season at 29 percent.

Ball and Jayson Tatum were voted the rookies that will have the best career.

Russell Westbrook Voted MVP By Fellow Players

Russell Westbrook has been voted by his peers as Most Valuable Player for the 16-17 season.

Awards were given during the 2017 Players Voice Awards announced via Twitter on Friday.

Malcolm Brogdon won Rookie of the Year while Kawhi Leonard was named "Best Defender".

Gregg Popovich was voted the "Coach You'd Most Like To Play For," LeBron James was "Player You Secretly Wish Was On Your Team," and Vince Carter was "Most Influential Veteran."

Bovada has released their odds to win the 2017-18 NBA Most Valuable Player award with Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard ranking first, second and third. Westbrook won the award last season while Durant won in 2014.
