The New York Knicks still have interest in trading for Karl-Anthony Towns, said Shams Charania on FanDuel TV's Run It Back.

"The Knicks have all the flexibility. They maintained all their assets. They have eight first-round picks to trade ... I expect them to prioritize playmaking. They're always going to have interest in Karl-Anthony Towns. Nothing has materialized as of yet.

"They have the pieces, they have the contracts, they have the young players, guys like Quentin Grimes, that you can potentially throw into a trade," said Charania.

It was reported earlier in the season that the Knicks are monitoring Towns' situation, though they have yet to make an offer.

The Knicks also believe they have enough trade assets to bring in another significant player.
