Zach LaVine has a "realistic" chance of returning to the Chicago Bulls lineup within the next week, and could return as early as Friday.

LaVine has missed the previous 16 games due to a sore right foot.

"I don't know what the exact date's going to be, but the way he's progressing right now and the fact that he's in full-fledged contact, [it's] very, very positive," said Billy Donovan.

LaVine is set to workout with the G League's Windy City Bulls on Wednesday.

Donovan was optimistic about LaVine fitting back in with the Bulls, who are 10-6 without LaVine.

"When you're not in the game and you can see the game. I think he sees how we're playing, what we're doing, and I think that the thing that he'd want to do is come in and contribute and enhance that and make it better," added Donovan.
