The Clippers won't have Eric Gordon on their current five-game road trip.

Los Angeles opened up the stretch at Charlotte on Monday night.

They are optimistic that Gordon, their leading scorer, will return this season after he aggravated a right wrist injury over the weekend.

"Let's just see how he responds to the therapy," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "It's his shooting hand, so it might make it a little more difficult. But all signs point to him returning. But when? That's another story."

Gordon aggravated the injury in just his second game back after missing 18 contests.
