According to Ken Berger, the draft pick that would be sent to Denver as part of a blockbuster trade for Carmelo Anthony among the Knicks, Nuggets and Timberwolves would be New York's own 2014 first-round selection.

There had been some confusion about whether Minnesota would convey one of the multiple picks the team controls to Denver in the deal.  But it appears that the purpose of the Timberwolves' inclusion is to absorb Eddy Curry's contract, saving the Nuggets the luxury tax bill.  In exchange, Anthony Randolph would land in Minnesota.

Curry would be released by the Timberwolves.
