Tom Gugliotta is back, and this time he hopes it's for good. Rookie Alton Ford was placed on the injured list with back spasms, making room for Gugliotta on the roster, according to the Arizona Republic.

Gugliotta had been on the list since Jan. 8 with tendinitis in his left quadriceps above the knee that he had surgically repaired. But the quadriceps hasn't been the problem for the past two weeks. He developed a stress reaction in his right foot, apparently while compensating for the left knee.

The foot pain flared as recently as Monday during a two-hour practice, but Gugliotta said he probably will have to deal with some foot pain the rest of the season.

"I've had this (foot pain) problem for two or three years," he said. "But it had never gotten that bad."

The Suns were 8-12 in games he missed because of injuries.
