Pelicans Sign EJ Liddell To Two-Way Contract

The New Orleans Pelicans signed E.J. Liddell to a Two-Way contract. Liddell was drafted out of Ohio State by the Pelicans with the 11th pick of the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft.

While playing for New Orleans at Las Vegas Summer League, Liddell tore his ACL. The injured occurred in Liddell's second game of Summer League.

Liddell has already had surgery and has begun rehab. He's expected to miss the entire 2022-23 NBA season, but will continue to rehab and be around the Pelicans now that he's on a Two-Way deal.

Mavericks Convert McKinley Wright IV To Two-Way Contract

The Dallas Mavericks have converted McKinley Wright IV to a Two-Way contract. Wright had been with the Mavs on an Exhibit 10 contract for the preseason.

Wright was with the Minnesota Timberwolves on a Two-Way contract last season. He appeared in five NBA games.

In 18 G League games with the Iowa Wolves, Wright averaged 18.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game. The 5-foot-11 point guard moved to Dallas as a free agent this summer. Wright will now split his time between the Mavs and the Texas Legends of the G League.

The Washington Wizards have converted Jordan Goodwin to a Two-Way contract. Goodwin was signed to a convertible Exhibit 10 contract for the preseason.

Goodwin saw limited action in two NBA appearances last season. He had been called up on a hardship 10 Day contract due to players being in the health and safety protocols.

In 31 G League with the Capital City Go-Go, Goodwin shined. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 16.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game.

Clippers Convert Moses Brown To Two-Way Contract

The LA Clippers converted the contract for Moses Brown to a Two-Way deal. Brown had been signed to a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal.

The 7-foot-2 center provides LA with depth behind Ivica Zubac. The two are the only traditional fives on the Clippers roster.

Los Angeles will be Brown's fifth stop in the NBA. He's previously played for the Portland Trail Blazers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers. In 92 NBA games (38 starts), Brown has averaged 6.0 points and 5.8 rebounds.

The Golden State Warriors have converted Ty Jerome and Anthony Lamb to Two-Way contracts. The Warriors also waived Jerome Robinson and Pat Spencer from their non-guaranteed training camp deals.

Golden State acquired Jerome after he was waived by the Houston Rockets, following a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jerome has averaged 7.1 points over 112 games in his three-year career.

Lamb has played for the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs in his two-year NBA career. He's seen action in 26 games over two years.

Both Robinson and Spencer are expected to play for the Santa Cruz Warriors this upcoming season. Robinson will be returning to Santa Cruz, while former lacrosse star Spencer will start his career in the G League.

London Johnson To Reclassify To 2022 Class, Sign With G League Ignite

London Johnson will reclassify into the class of 2022 and sign with the G League Ignite, sources told Shams Charania and Sam Vecenie of The Athletic.

Johnson is currently a four-star recruit.

“The main (reason) was being able to play against NBA talent and getting coached from the highest level NBA coaches. Also, seeing the success from past (prospects), I really felt like I could create my own path and be successful myself," Johnson told The Athletic.

Johnson will reportedly receive a salary of over $1 million, the largest Ignite salary thus far.

The guard plans to play for the Ignite for both this season and the 2023-24 season.
