The Reno Bighorns have acquired Ernest Scott from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in a three-team trade that sent Terrance Thomas to the Canton Charge and a third round pick in the 2012 NBA D-League draft to the Vipers.

Scott has played 136 D-League games over three seasons.

The Sioux Falls Skyforce has acquired forward Marqus Blakely from the Iowa Energy in exchange for forward Patrick Ewing, Jr.  

Blakely, who was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star Team, averaged 13.4 points and 5.6 rebounds in 14 games (nine starts) with the Iowa Energy this season after being waived by the Houston Rockets in training camp.

The NBA Development League announced that Charles Garcia of the Sioux Falls Skyforce has been suspended without pay for five games for violating the terms of the NBA D-League’s anti-drug policy.

Garcia’s suspension will begin when the Skyforce host the Idaho Stampede on Friday, Feb. 10.

Garcia is a D-League All-Star this season.

"We have sent Charles home and will be looking for a suitable trade partner," said Skyforce owner/president Mike Heineman.
