Brown was rated as a top-30 member of the class of 2011 and played for Oakland High School.

"I will say it up front, I don't want him to leave," Dana Altman said. "The door is still open."
Brown was a five-star recruit out of Oakland.
James Johnson, a junior college transfer playing for Central Wyoming, has signed with Cal State Fullerton.
Johnson appeared in 29 games for Louisiana Tech during the 10-11 season.
Stacey Poole, a sophomore guard, has left the Kentucky program and will transfer.
Rumors that Poole would eventually leave the team began prior to the season.
Poole did not dress this season and 11-12 will count as his transfer season.
"When you talk about a players-first program, the most disappointing thing is when a young man doesn’t feel that he can accomplish his dreams where he is. I’m disappointed today," wrote John Calipari in a statement.
"We do everything we can to make sure no one is lost in the shuffle because this program is about every player from top to bottom."
