The Milwaukee Bucks have waived Elijah Bryant.
Bryant signed a multi-year contract with the Bucks in May and appeared in one regular season game. Bryant went undrafted out of BYU in 2018.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have claimed Mamadi Diakite.
The waiver claim saves the Milwaukee Bucks $375,000 toward the luxury tax. Diakite has $100,000 in guaranteed money that the Thunder are now responsible for paying.
Diakite is on a $1.78 million non-guaranteed deal for 22-23.
The Thunder also waived Charlie Brown Jr.
The Houston Rockets have waived Matt Hurt from his Two-Way contract. Hurt was signed to a Two-Way deal with Houston after going undrafted at the 2021 NBA Draft.
Hurt played two seasons at Duke. As a sophomore, he started all 24 of the Blue Devils games. The 6'9'' forward averaged 18.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. He then declared as an Early Entry Candidate for the 2021 NBA Draft.
The Milwaukee Bucks waived forward Mamadi Diakite. Diakite's contract was partially guaranteed for $100,000. That amount will go on the Bucks cap sheet, unless Diakite is claimed off waivers.
Diakite started his rookie season with Milwaukee on a Two-Way contract. His deal was converted to a standard contract in late-April.
In 14 NBA appearances (one start), Diakite averaged 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game. In the G League Bubble, Diakite averaged 18.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game for the Lakeland Magic. The Bucks did not field a G League team during the 2020-21 season.
The Bucks also signed Javin DeLaurier to a training camp contract. DeLaurier went undrafted out of Duke at the 2020 NBA Draft. He then attended training camp with the Charlotte Hornets before playing for the Greensboro Swarm in the G League Bubble. DeLaurier also spent part of the 2020-21 season playing professionally in Canada for the Niagara River Lions.
The Houston Rockets have waive forward Tyler Bey. This waiver was necessary to create the roster spot for Houston to re-sign Dante Exum. The Rockets signed Bey to a fully non-guaranteed training camp contract in late-August.
Bey spent his rookie season in 2020-21 with the Dallas Mavericks on a Two-Way contract. In 18 NBA games, Bey averaged 1.0 points and 1.1 rebounds in 3.9 minutes. In 13 games in the G-League bubble, Bey averaged 15.1 points and 9.2 rebounds.
When he clears waivers, Bey will be an unrestricted free agent.
The Utah Jazz have waived forward Jarrell Brantley.
Brantley (6-7, 238, Charleston) appeared in 37 games over two seasons with Utah, averaging 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 6.3 minutes per contest, also seeing action in four postseason games.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have waived Tre Scott.
Scott was on a fully non-guaranteed camp deal with the Cavaliers.
The Memphis Grizzlies have waived Marc Gasol.
The Grizzlies traded for Gasol from the Los Angeles Lakers last week.
Gasol is expected to return to Spain to continue his playing career.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have waived Damyean Dotson.
Dotson signed a two-year, $4 million deal before the 20-21 season with Year 2 as a non-guarantee.
Dotson averaged 6.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 19.7 minutes over 46 games last season with the Cavaliers.
