Kyle Singler scored 12 points as Real Madrid lost a decisive Game 5 of the ACB League title series against Barcelona Regal, 73-69.
Singler, whose NBA rights are retained by the Pistons, averaged 8 points on 54 percent shooting during the regular season.
Erazem Lorbek, a 2005 second round pick whose rights are owned by the Spurs, scored 10 points for Barcelona.
Nikola Mirotic is in no rush to start his NBA career.
“He’ll remain under contract with Real Madrid for the next couple years,” Bulls general manager Gar Forman said. “But it’s certainly our goal and our expectation that Nikola will be in a Chicago Bulls uniform somewhere down the line. We’ll continue to monitor his progress and feel really good about the development that’s taking place.”
Mirotic was acquired by Chicago in a draft night deal last summer. This past season, he became the first two-time Euroleague Rising Star Trophy winner.
“Nikola is a very skilled player,” said Forman. “He can play inside and he can play outside. He can knock down the three-point shot. He’s a hardnosed player who we think will really fit in to our system.”
Real Madrid advanced to the Spanish League finals with a 76-69 Game 5 victory Saturday over Caja Laboral.
Kyle Singler, a small forward who was the Pistons' first second-round pick in 2011, scored two points for Madrid.
Singler is averaging 8.1 points during the playoffs after averaging 7.8 points during the regular season.
