Yea it doesnt look as good as it used to. We all got a stark reminder in this postseason that you can't beat time and stars dont last forever. That roster is still good enough to win though. As a french-american fan I'm still confident in a remake of the Tokyo finals but feels like a different outcome is more and more likely.

Also Embiid and Kawhi should withdraw for their own good (and their teams') but they probably wont.

Not sure if I’d rather have Brunson than Haliburton in the international game. He wasn’t so fantastic last summer at the World Cup. Given the role he’s likely to be playing, maybe Maxey would be a better choice than Brunson. Selecting a national team shouldn’t be just picking the best 12 nba players irrespective of roles in an international game context.

Couldnt agree more. I'd pick Brunson over Hali for a NBA team, but for FIBA ball, Hali over Brunson is a no brainer to me. Short score-first guards with limited playmaking ability dont usually fare well in international play. And that team really lacks playmaking, only Lebron outside of Haliburton can handle that role. We've seen how those ISOs offenses have looked during the playoffs so far, I dont want to see that at the Olympics.
