An attorney representing Bob Huggins claimed that his client never formally resigned as the head coach of West Virginia last month following a DUI arrest.

Huggins could sue the school should he not be reinstated as head coach.

West Virginia, who hired assistant Josh Eilert as interim coach following Huggins' supposed resignation, said that they would not reinstate Huggins to his previous role.

Huggins' legal team stated that the former head coach entered rehab last month and intends to return to the team after he completes the program.
