The Phoenix Suns are hiring Miles Simon and John Lucas III as assistant coaches under new head coach Frank Vogel. Both Simon and Lucas had worked with Vogel when he was the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Simon started his coaching career as an assistant with the Lakers. For the past two seasons, he's also been the head coach of the South Bay Lakers of the G League.

Lucas worked for the Minnesota Timberwolves in a player development role, before joining Vogel's staff in 2021. He also played for six teams in his eight-year NBA career.
