At one point this offseason, Giannis Antetokounmpo showed management of the Milwaukee Bucks text messages from stars on rival teams who appeared to be beginning to recruit him.

Antetokounmpo was set to enter the final season of his existing contract if he were to decline Milwaukee's supermax contract offer.

Antetokounmpo entered the offseason acting as a recruiter and offered his input on personnel decisions. Antetokounmpo suggested Bogdan Bogdanovic, Bradley Beal and Victor Oladipo as options he thought would improve their team.

Sources say Antetokounmpo never advocated for any teammate's departure or tried to mastermind any moves.
