The Milwaukee Bucks were prepared to offer Jabari Parker a three-year, $54 million extension before the start of the season.
Parker sees himself as a max player and talks didn't lead anywhere even as he was recovering from the second torn ACL in his career.
Milwaukee's upper limit in annual salary was about $18 million per season.
Parker is set to return this week from his injury and will have suitors in free agency if he proves himself to be healthy.
