The sizable roster depth of the Bucks provides a challenge for Scott Skiles, while it also is an advantage in a compressed season.

"Look, if we remain healthy, it's going to be challenging to maintain our chemistry," Skiles said. "I want guys who want to play. I don't want guys who are content to sit on the bench.

"It's going to be challenging to keep everybody in good spirits."

The Bucks have eight players averaging better than 20 minutes per game and an additional three playing more than 10 minutes.

"We need everybody," Drew Gooden said. "I don't think we have that luxury right now as the Boston Celtics or Miami Heat or San Antonio, teams of that stature. Everybody always has to be ready to play on our team."
