One day after the Lakers traded Lamar Odom to the Mavericks for an $8.9 million trade exception and a future protected draft pick, Kobe Bryant expressed his dissatisfaction with the move.

"I don't like it,” Kobe said. “I trust management knows what they're doing...but it's tough.

"I've known Lamar for a long time. He's a big presence for us in the locker room, just from a team chemistry standpoint."

Bryant, who has never been shy about publicly disagreeing with the direction of the Lakers, offered the Mavericks a backhanded compliment.

"I don't think Mark Cuban's protesting this trade," Bryant said, in an apparent response to Cuban’s stated opposition to the three-way trade that would have sent Chris Paul to the Lakers.
