Blake Griffin sobbed in the locker room following the Clippers' win over the Timberwolves on Wednesday night after learning that a friend had passed away.

Wilson Holloway, a high school teammate and Tulsa football player, died from complications of Hodgkin's lymphoma.

He had been battling cancer since 2008.

Clippers spokesperson Rob Raichlen said Griffin's plans for All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles will not change.

"It was hard for me to believe because in my mind it was like 'OK, so when he gets better it's going to be all right,' " Griffin said of Holloway. "You never think that's going to happen to you or somebody you know or somebody that's that close to you that's your age."
