The Spurs watched a number of teams make drastic changes this past summer, but after standing pat they sit at the top of the NBA with a 20-3 record.

"We decided we're better off sticking with who we have," coach Gregg Popovich said, "rather than change things."

Tony Parker's name was mentioned in a number of trade rumors prior to the season, but the point guard convinced San Antonio that he was committed to the franchise.

The contracts of both Popovich and Tim Duncan will expire after next season, but they are expected to return with Manu Ginobili and Parker locked up.

"I kind of feel I have to commit to those guys," Popovich said.

The coach is in his fifteenth season with the team and Duncan will turn 35 years old in April.

"I would love to play until the wheels come off, but that's not how it goes," Duncan said. "I want to play at a high level and I want to be able to play well. If that's not the case, then it might be better for me to walk away."
