Timberwolves point guard Jonny Flynn played in his first game of the season on Friday for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBDL.

Coming off hip surgery, Flynn had eight points, nine assists, six turnovers and two steals in 24:34 minutes.

He is expected to play for Minnesota sometime next week.

"Just great to get back out there, play a long period and go up and down," Flynn said. "I think I played all right. A few careless turnovers, those things are going to come when I get more playing time. Other than that, I felt good. Pushing off, sliding good, was able to sprint, run the break. I felt good."
