Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau is still a candidate to become the next head coach of the Hornets.

New Orleans wanted an answer from Thibodeau before the start of the NBA Finals on Thursday. There were reports on Thursday morning that he had rejected the team's offer.

"Tom Thibodeau is still in play for Hornets job and clock's ticking toward an afternoon deadline to accept or reject offer, sources tell Y!," Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports wrote in his Twitter page.
