Celtics assistant coach Tom Thibodeau is in high demand.

Not only is he trying to prepare Boston's defense to face the Lakers in the NBA Finals, but a number of teams are courting him to become their new head coach.

The Hornets have reportedly offered Thibodeau a job, but have set a deadline for him to accept. ESPN.com's Marc Stein writes that the deadline is Thursday night, which happens to be Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Bulls general manager Gar Forman and executive John Paxson flew to Los Angeles on Wednesday to meet with Thibodeau about their vacant position.

ESPN.com also reported on Wednesday that Thibodeau met with the Nets before the Celtics left for Los Angeles earlier this week.

Sources indicate that his reluctance to accept the offer from New Orleans is due to both Boston's title run and his interest in finding out how interested Chicago and New Jersey are in his services.
