Raptors forward Hedo Turkoglu suffered a new fracture in his nose this week and could wear a protective mask to hasten his return as the regular season winds down.

Toronto is battling with Chicago for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and Chris Bosh is out indefinitely with his own facial fractures.

Turkoglu has a "small new non-displaced fracture on an old nasal fracture," the team said in a release.

He resisted wearing a mask earlier this season following a similar injury.
