The Timberwolves plan to offer forward Darko Milicic a multi-year contract this summer.

Milicic, who will become a free agent, has said previously that he plans on returning to Europe, but his stance has soften lately.

Minnesota acquired Milicic from New York last month.

"He has provided us with something we sorely needed. He has the height and size and mobility," Timberwolves coach Kurt Rambis said Friday. "He can play well at both ends of the floor. He gives us what we need at center. We've shown him that he could fit in well here."

A team source confirmed their plans to try and re-sign him this summer.
