The NBA announced on Tuesday that it has rescinded a technical foul that was assessed to Magic center Dwight Howard on Monday night.

In addition, the league gave Pacers big man Troy Murphy a flagrant foul for wrapping up Howard around the neck and shoulders. During the game, the pair were assessed technical fouls following the incident.

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy has complained about the way opposing teams focus on fouling Howard hard and general manager Otis Smith asked the league to review Monday's incident and keep an eye on the aggressive fouls.

Orlando defeated Indiana on Monday night. Howard attempted 22 free throws, making just 13 en route to a 21-point, 23-rebounds performance.
