Jonathan Bender showed off his jumper and was impressive in his first practice with the Knicks.

The 28-year-old Bender is attempting a comeback from an injury to his right knee that forced him to retire almost four years ago.

"He can guard a lot of people," Mike D'Antoni said. "He's one of those guys that fits well with what we're trying to do -- hits 3's, runs the floor and has a lot of talent, so we're excited about the possibilities."

D'Antoni indicated that he may dress Bender Tuesday at Charlotte and could even get him into the game for some minutes.
