Hornets point guard Chris Paul is getting anxious to return to the court.

He's been sidelined since Nov. 13 with a severely sprained left ankle.

"I want to play, but I know I can't," Paul said. "I'm mad right now because I'm tired of watching. I remember when I got hurt, everybody was saying 'how are you, not physically but mentally.' I was good for a while, but I'm about to go nuts sitting out."

Paul has been increasing his physical workload, but he's unlikely to return within the next week to 10 days.

"It looks like he's getting back into shape," rookie guard Darren Collison said. "We're going to need him, so the faster he comes back, the better it is for us."
