Bulls point guard Derrick Rose still hasn't returned since injuring his ankle earlier this month, but he's getting closer.

"I thought I was going to go, but I'm still waiting," Rose told the Chicago Sun-Times after the team's practice on Sunday. "I ran. It's getting better every day. I'm happy I'm seeing some progress. Hopefully, I'll be playing in a couple days."

The Bulls will host the Magic on Monday night, but it's highly unlikely he'll play that soon.

"We have shootaround [Morning morning]," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "He worked out a bit [Sunday]. Most likely he's out [against the Magic]. It's the ol' day-to-day thing."

Rose probably would have returned if it was the regular season, but the Bulls are being cautious with the injury.
