Clippers guard Baron Davis feels good about the team entering the new season.

"It took me a year to adjust to this situation," Davis, who signed a five-year, $65 million contract last offseason, told FanHouse. "I didn't know what to expect ... no idea what to expect. It was a weird year. It was a weird summer and it carried into a weird year.

"It takes me a while for me to get used to a situation and for people to get used to me. Now, I think I'm back to being me. Back to being who I know I can be. And I know how to be successful."

The Clippers have made the playoffs just once in the last 12 years, but Davis sees change on the horizon.

"Something's brewing," he said. "You know what I mean? There's an energy ... a different kind of energy here from what we had last year. There were no expectations last year. Now we've got expectations and a different kind of energy."
