The Timberwolves are expected to name Kurt Rambis their next head coach, but nothing will become official until next week.

No agreement has been announced, but the two sides are believed to be close to terms.

Rambis turned down a contract offer from the Kings in June, and is rumored to be seeking a four-year deal worth at least $2 million annually.
